Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning Equipment & Support Services
Precision cleaning for complex geometries.
Blind holes, complex geometries, and precision assemblies, fully clean.
Ultrasonic cleaning uses high-frequency sound waves in an aqueous solution to generate microscopic cavitation bubbles. These bubbles implode against contaminated surfaces, removing oils, oxides, flux residues, and particulates from blind holes and precision assemblies that conventional methods cannot reach.
At MISERV, we deliver this specialized technology directly to your facility or help you validate the process:
– On-Site Services: We bring high-precision ultrasonic cleaning capabilities directly to your location.
– Supplier-Backed Testing: For complex or unproven applications, we conduct advanced test cleanings at specialised facilities to validate results before deployment.
The MISERV Advantage: Reaching the microscopic crevices other methods miss, with guaranteed process validation.

THE SCIENCE
How ultrasonic cleaning works
An ultrasonic transducer generates high-frequency sound waves, typically above 28kHz, which are transmitted through an aqueous cleaning solution. These waves create millions of microscopic cavitation bubbles that form and implode rapidly against the contaminated surface, releasing intense localised energy.
The implosion action dislodges and removes contamination from all surface features, including blind holes, internal threads, and complex geometries, without mechanical abrasion. Chemistry is selected to match the substrate and contamination type.
- Reaches blind holes, internal threads, and complex geometries
- No mechanical abrasion, substrate integrity maintained throughout
- Aqueous chemistry matched to substrate and contamination type
- Consistent, repeatable cleanliness across high-volume batches
- Available at MISERV facility or on-site depending on part size
01 — Component Assessment
Material, contamination type, geometry, and required cleanliness standard are evaluated to select the correct chemistry and parameters.
02 — Chemistry Selection
Aqueous solution is matched to the substrate and contaminant, oils, oxides, flux, carbon, or biological residues each require a specific formulation.
03 — Ultrasonic Cleaning Cycle
Parts are immersed in the solution and subjected to high-frequency cavitation. Cycle time is validated to achieve the required cleanliness standard.
04 — Rinse & Return
Parts are rinsed, dried, and inspected. Components are returned in a clean, production-ready condition with no residue or secondary contamination.

COMMON QUESTIONS
About Ultrasonic cleaning
What is the difference between ultrasonic cleaning and conventional washing?
Conventional washing relies on mechanical action, spray pressure, or manual scrubbing to remove contamination. Ultrasonic cleaning uses cavitation, millions of microscopic implosions generated throughout the solution, which reaches internal passages, blind holes, and complex geometries that no external mechanical action can access. The result is a consistently higher cleanliness standard across the entire part.
Can ultrasonic cleaning damage delicate or precision parts?
When correctly applied, ultrasonic cleaning is non-abrasive and does not alter the substrate. Frequency, power, chemistry, and cycle time are selected and validated specifically for each component type. Delicate parts including precision optics, electronic assemblies, and thin-walled components, are regularly cleaned ultrasonically without damage.
What chemistry do you use in the cleaning solution?
Chemistry is selected to match the substrate material and contamination type. Alkaline solutions are used for oils and greases on ferrous metals. Neutral or mildly acidic solutions are used for aluminium or for oxide removal. All chemistry is food-safe where required, and rinsing cycles are included to ensure no residue remains on the part.
How clean are parts after ultrasonic cleaning?
Cleanliness standard depends on the application and is agreed before the work begins. MISERV can clean to general engineering standards, precision cleanliness standards for hydraulic and fuel systems, and specific customer-defined acceptance criteria. Validation and inspection are included where required.
Do you collect and return parts, or do we bring them to you?
Both options are available. Small to medium components can be brought to or collected by MISERV for facility-based cleaning. For larger assemblies or where production scheduling requires it, on-site ultrasonic cleaning can be arranged. Logistics are confirmed during the initial assessment.
Have components that need precision cleaning?
Tell us about your components, contamination type, and required cleanliness standard. MISERV will assess the application and confirm whether ultrasonic cleaning is the right approach, with a trial cycle available before full deployment.
